Senior Mobile Developer (iOS & Flutter) | Manchester, hybrid | £60,000-£80,000
A tracker small enough to tuck inside a pallet of vaccines logs temperature, light and every knock from the factory floor to the hospital door. If the shipment gets too warm, someone knows within minutes. If it gets stolen, the data helps find it. Millions of these devices are out there right now, moving by road, sea and air across the world.
That's the technology your apps would be talking to, working for this British IoT company whose trackers and sensors protect medicines, food and high-value freight for some of the biggest names in global logistics. It's one of the UK's fastest-growing tech businesses and is building out its software team in Manchester. The mobile apps that connect customers to those devices sit right at the centre of what comes next.
We're looking for a Senior Mobile Developer to design, build and own the apps that interact with the company's devices and platform.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
What you'll do
- You'll be hands-on day to day, building and maintaining iOS applications in Swift that connect to IoT devices and backend APIs.
- You'll write clean, well-tested code and take features from requirements through to App Store release.
- You'll work closely with designers, product owners, fellow developers and customers in a small, multidisciplinary agile team. The apps are B2B tools used by supply chain operators, not consumer products.
- As the senior mobile voice, you'll carry much of the mobile work and help shape the automated testing, CI/CD and release processes behind it.
What we're looking for
- Several years shipping Swift apps commercially, ideally with live apps you can show us
- Fluency in current iOS architecture and patterns, and plenty of experience wiring apps into APIs and backend services
- Testing as a habit, with unit and UI tests written as part of the job rather than bolted on at the end
- The debugging instinct to find the real cause of a crash or a sluggish screen, not just patch the symptom
- A bonus if you've worked with Flutter, build and release automation in GitHub, app security and data protection, or analytics and performance monitoring
