Kent - Rochester
Full Time
£36k - £42k, depending on qualifications and experience. Additional Benefits: Paid travel time up to £6,000 per annum, Opportunities for overtime to enhance earning potential. + Flexible Benefits + On Call Escalation fee.
Summary
NG Bailey Facilities Services are recruiting for an experienced Mobile Engineer (Electrical) on the prestigious SETL - South East Trains Limited Railway Contract.
As a Mobile Electrical Technician, you will be working on our contract for South East Railway to their network of train stations. You will provide electrical maintenance to stations within the London / Metro / Southeast London area / Kent and occasionally Sussex.
The successful candidate will require a UK Driving License as a company van is provided. You will also be required to pass a medical and course to obtain a PTS (Personal Track Safety) sentinel card to be able to work near the tracks if you don't already have one. This is a condition of employment.
Some of the key deliverables in this role will include:
- Ensure work is undertaken in line with specific method statements & risk assessments and relevant safety legislation and NG Bailey health and safety systems and procedures.
- Provide excellent service delivery by ensuring PPM tasks and reactive works are completed within contractual Service Level Agreement’s to meet KPI’s.
- Maintain premises to an exceptionally high standards through a proactive service delivery methodology.
- Develop excellent working relationships with our client their staff or appointed representative through good customer service.
- Ensure that all applicable site documentation is kept up to date as this will be regularly audit either by internal or external parties.
- Utilise the clients CAFM system so that accurate information is provide related to our service provision.
- Demonstrate appropriate Health & Safety knowledge to ensure safe delivery of all work.
- Carry out Electrical Maintenance / Installation work efficiently and in accordance with the National Working Rules for the Electrical Contracting Industry, the current IET Wiring Regulations for the Requirements of Electrical Installations BS7671, and the Construction Industry Safety Regulations.

Working hours:
Working hours are 40 hours per week - Monday to Friday with a call-out rota of 1 in 6 weeks.
What we’re looking for:
Electrical Engineer working to a high standard of building services provision (planned and reactive) with the utmost regard for customer service.
You will hold current qualifications.
- Completed a recognised Electrical Apprenticeship (Preferred not Essential)
- City and Guilds 236 Parts 1&2 OR equivalent
- City and Guilds 2382 18th Edition
- City and Guilds 2391 (Desirable)
- Personal Track Safety - PTS (Desirable not Essential)
- IOSH Working / Managing Safely (Desirable)
- Safe system of Work Procedure – PTW; RAMS etc (Desirable)
- L8 Training (Desirable)
