Role - Mobile Engineer
Location - Burgess Hill, UK (2 days hybrid)
Type - Contract (Inside IR35) or Fixed Term (1 Year)
Job Description:
We are looking for a skilled Mobile Engineer to design, develop, test, and maintain high-quality mobile applications for Android and/or iOS platforms. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in mobile application development and be proficient in Java, Kotlin, or Objective-C.
You will work closely with product managers, designers, backend engineers, and QA teams to build reliable, scalable, and user-friendly mobile applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain mobile applications for Android and/or iOS platforms.
- Write clean, maintainable, scalable, and well-documented code.
- Develop new features and enhance existing mobile applications.
- Integrate RESTful APIs, third-party SDKs, and backend services.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application performance and stability issues.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices.
- Collaborate with UI/UX designers to implement responsive and user-friendly interfaces.
- Write unit and integration tests to ensure application quality.
- Monitor application performance and identify opportunities for optimization.
- Work with QA teams to investigate and resolve defects.
- Participate in the complete software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering through deployment and maintenance.
- Stay updated with the latest mobile development technologies, frameworks, and best practices.

Required Skills
Mobile Development
- Strong hands-on experience developing mobile applications on Android OR iOS.
- Good understanding of mobile application architecture, lifecycle, navigation, and state management.
- Experience integrating REST APIs and third-party services.
- Understanding of mobile UI/UX principles and responsive design.
- Knowledge of application debugging, performance optimization, and crash analysis.
- Experience with Git or other version-control systems.
