About The Role
We are seeking an experienced Mobile Engineer to join our team in Erith. This customer-facing, hands-on role involves supporting clients directly at their sites by maintaining, servicing, and repairing equipment to ensure safety, reliability, and operational readiness. The successful candidate will play a vital part in managing planned preventative maintenance alongside responding swiftly to breakdowns, helping our customers keep their operations running smoothly. This position offers a dynamic work environment where no two days are the same, requiring a proactive approach, strong problem-solving skills, and excellent customer service abilities.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess previous mechanical engineering experience, preferably within hire, plant, or a similar technical environment. A full UK driving license is essential to facilitate travel between customer sites. Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills are required to diagnose and resolve issues efficiently. Candidates should have good IT literacy, including familiarity with Microsoft Office applications. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are necessary to interact effectively with clients and colleagues. A strong commitment to safety and customer satisfaction, coupled with a flexible and team-oriented attitude, will contribute to success in this role.

Responsibilities
- Servicing, maintaining, and repairing equipment at customer sites to ensure safety and operational efficiency.
- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance in accordance with service schedules to minimize downtime.
- Diagnosing faults accurately and completing repairs promptly to restore equipment functionality.
- Responding effectively to emergency breakdowns, providing timely solutions to keep customers operational.
- Conducting equipment inspections and safety checks to adhere to health and safety standards.
- Maintaining detailed and accurate service and maintenance records for all activities performed.
- Managing your workload independently, prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines and customer expectations.
- Providing a professional, helpful, and proactive service to all clients, fostering strong customer relationships.
- Collaborating with team members to ensure equipment safety, reliability, and compliance with regulations.
