Mobile Fabric Engineer - FM Service Provider - Essex / East London - Temp to perm

Exciting opportunity to work for a leading FM service provider. I am currently recruiting for a Mobile Fabric Engineer to be based across multiple sites in the Essex / East London areas, working on a healthcare contract.

The successful candidate will be an all-round Mobile Fabric Engineer with a proven track record in commercial/healthcare building maintenance.

He or she will be required to carry out Fabric planned and reactive maintenance on a mobile basis, covering numerous sites. This position would be perfect for a Mobile Fabric Engineer in a similar position and you would be expected to carry out the duties listed below. In return, the company offers an hourly rate of £21 per hour.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Work will involve reactive repairs ranging from changing taps, washers, installing and repairing cabinets and wall-based units, replacing pipework, replacing locks, patch plastering, basic electrical tasks (i.e., changing lamps), and other general fabric work.
  • The Engineer will also complete PPMs such as water temperature checks, fire door checks, plant room checks.

Hours of work

  • Monday to Friday
  • 08:00 am to 17:00 pm

Package

  • Van and fuel card supplied
  • A full UK driving licence is required (no more than 6 points and no driving ban within the past 5 years)
  • On-call requirement for emergencies / make safe. One in every 4 weeks. Standby allowance of £75 per week and overtime paid per call out at either time and a half or double time if a Sunday.
  • £21p/h whilst on a temporary basis
  • Salary offered up to £35k

Requirements

  • City & Guilds/NVQ in a fabric-related trade (Advantageous)
  • A proven track record in Healthcare / critical building maintenance
  • Standard DBS required
  • Available to start immediately
