We are currently looking for a proactive and skilled Mobile Handyperson to join our team on the Kent County Council project, in a varied and rewarding role. A full, clean driving licence is essential, as you will work across multiple locations delivering high-quality Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance services. You will also support Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) works, undertake small works projects, assist with emergency response procedures, and carry out asset verification and condition reporting.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys a hands-on role, takes pride in maintaining high service standards, and can work confidently as part of a professional facilities team. The role includes participation in an out-of-hours call-out rota and reports directly to the Area Supervisor and Operations Manager.
As The Mobile Handyperson, You Will
- Bring a proactive, self-motivated, and can-do approach to working within a mobile maintenance team, delivering a high standard of service across the estate.
- Carry out a range of planned maintenance and compliance tasks, including water hygiene PPMs, flushing and temperature checks, weekly fire alarm testing, and support with additional PPM and extra works in line with engineering and HASWA standards.
- Undertake general building fabric and maintenance repairs, including minor carpentry to doors, frames, windows, and other timber fixtures, as well as basic plumbing, gutter clearance, flooring repairs, and the installation of shelves, noticeboards, and similar fittings.
- Complete minor security and access works, including the replacement and installation of locks where required.
- Support asset verification and condition data capture, ensuring asset information is accurately recorded and maintained electronically using handheld devices.
- Maintain accurate maintenance and inspection records and support seasonal estate duties, including gritting in line with the winter plan, with flexibility to respond out of hours during adverse weather when required.
