Mobile HGV Technician

Location: East London / Purfleet (Field Based)

Salary: £45,000 Basic + £1,500 Joining Bonus + Overtime

Working Hours: Monday to Friday Days (No Weekends)

Ref: 31132

We are recruiting for an experienced Mobile HGV Technician to join a leading commercial vehicle fleet business covering East London, Purfleet and the surrounding areas. This is a fantastic opportunity to work for a nationally recognised company offering excellent training, career progression and a superb benefits package. The role is primarily field-based, attending customer sites to diagnose, service and repair commercial vehicles, with the flexibility to work from the workshop when required.

Mobile HGV Technician Role

  • Diagnose, service and repair a wide range of HGVs and commercial vehicles.
  • Carry out inspections, maintenance and fault finding to manufacturer standards.
  • Prepare commercial vehicles for MOT testing.
  • Ensure all vehicles comply with safety and legal requirements.
  • Work on a fleet including Mercedes-Benz, Iveco and Ford commercial vehicles.
  • Complete all paperwork accurately and maintain high standards of workmanship.
  • Provide excellent customer service whilst working independently in the field.

Mobile HGV Technician Requirements

  • NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent City & Guilds / recognised apprenticeship).
  • Previous experience working as an HGV Technician.
  • Full UK Class 2 (Category C or CE) driving licence.
  • Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
  • Able to pass employment vetting, including financial and criminal record checks.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
