Mobile HGV/PSV Technician
Service Market Team – UK Wide Travel
£22.30 per hour plus overtime
Company van, laptop and mobile phone provided
£1,000 joining bonus (payable after six months continuous service – direct applicants only)
About the role
Volvo is seeking an experienced and motivated Mobile HGV/PSV Technician to join our Service Market Team. This is a varied and rewarding role that combines technical expertise, customer support and nationwide travel.
Key responsibilities
- Carry out pre delivery inspections (PDIs) in accordance with Volvo standards
- Diagnose, repair and maintain HGV & PSV vehicles
- Provide technical support and guidance to Volvo dealerships and service partners
- Conduct technical investigations and support field based rectification activities
- Prepare and inspect used vehicles to ensure they meet Volvo quality standards
- Install additional vehicle equipment, including CCTV systems, USB charging points and vehicle monitors
About you
- NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (or equivalent qualification)
- Proven experience within the HGV or PSV industry
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
- A full UK driving licence (PSV licence desirable but not essential)
