Salary: Up to £48,000 per annum + Company Van
Contract Type: Full Time, Permanent
The Job Details
We're recruiting for an experienced HVAC / Gas Multi Skilled Engineer to join a growing national engineering team delivering planned and reactive maintenance across a portfolio of commercial and retail environments.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled engineer with strong commercial gas and HVAC experience looking to join a business that values technical excellence, invests in its people and offers long-term career progression.
Working across the Chester and Northwest region, you'll be responsible for maintaining critical building services plant, ensuring systems remain safe, compliant and fully operational while delivering an exceptional service to clients.
Key Responsibilities
Planned Preventative Maintenance
- Carry out planned maintenance in accordance with SFG20 and contract requirements.
- Service and maintain commercial gas equipment including boilers and heating systems.
- Maintain HVAC equipment including: Air Handling Units (AHUs), Fan Coil Units (FCUs), VRV / VRF systems, Split systems, Pumps, valves, fans and associated plant.

Reactive Maintenance
- Diagnose faults across HVAC and commercial gas systems.
- Carry out repairs within agreed service level agreements.
- Minimise downtime through effective fault finding and first-time fixes.
Compliance & Health & Safety
- Ensure all work complies with Gas Safe regulations and current legislation.
- Follow F-Gas regulations and manufacturer recommendations.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records using CAFM systems.
- Work safely in accordance with RAMS and company health & safety procedures.
Remedial Works
- Identify repair requirements during maintenance visits.
- Produce accurate quotations including labour, materials and scope of works.
Vehicle & Equipment
- Maintain company van stock and tools.
- Ensure testing equipment remains calibrated.
- Participate in the on-call rota when required.
Essential Experience
- Minimum 2-5 years' experience maintaining commercial gas systems.
- Proven HVAC maintenance experience within commercial environments.
- Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding ability.
- Experience working to SFG20 maintenance standards.
- Knowledge of F-Gas compliance.
- Experience maintaining larger commercial plant including: Chillers, Large AHUs, Commercial boilers, Critical building services equipment.
- Willingness to participate in an on-call rota.

- NVQ Level 3 in Air Conditioning & Refrigeration, HVAC or equivalent
- F-Gas Category 1
- City & Guilds COCN1

- ICPN1
- TPCP1 / TPCP1A
- Full UK Driving Licence
