MOBILE MAINTENANCE ELECTRICIAN

Job Overview

Our client are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Electrical Maintenance Engineer to carry out mobile maintenance works in the Glasgow or Edinburgh area dependant on the applicants location.

Their client base include but are not limited to Commercial office blocks & industrial units, Retail & Student Accommodation.

We are looking for a candidate who has knowledge of electrical systems and over 5 years’ experience in similar Electrical/ HVAC/ Maintenance Engineer type role.

Job Responsibilities

  • Perform routine and reactive maintenance on electrical systems
  • Deliver planned preventative maintenance and responsive repair services for electrical installations, including internal and external lighting, emergency lighting, and distribution boards
  • Diagnose faults, repair, replace, and upgrade lighting, wiring, and electrical components, ensuring compliance with BS 7671
  • Conduct electrical testing, rewires, and emergency lighting maintenance
  • Handle basic Mechanical PPMs
  • Maintain fire alarms, security systems, and automated controls
  • Ensure all work meets health and safety standards, keeping accurate maintenance records

Skills & Qualifications

  • Approved Electrical Apprenticeship – Minimum requirement
  • SVQ/SJIV or FICA – Essential
  • 18th Edition – Essential
  • 2391 Testing & Inspection – Beneficial

Salary & Benefits

  • £40,000 - £43,000 DOE
  • Call out Rota & allowance
  • Overtime x 1.5 and x 2 on weekends
