Location: Northern Ireland

Key Responsibilities

Role Responsibilities:

  • Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repair works across electrical systems and building services. Responsibilities include faultfinding, diagnosis, and repair of distribution boards, motors, pumps, building management systems, emergency lighting, and general electrical plant.
  • Supporting mechanical maintenance tasks such as HVAC systems, pumps, valves, air handling units, basic plumbing, and basic fabric works.
  • Being included in the on-call rota.
  • Having strong electrical faultfinding and maintenance experience, ideally gained within facilities management or commercial or industrial building services environments.
  • Completing all work in full compliance with BS 7671, Mitie technical standards, and statutory requirements, with job progress and documentation accurately maintained.

Required Qualifications:

  • NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds in Electrical Installation or Maintenance.
  • 18th edition
  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills
  • Excellent problem solver and fault-finding ability
  • Organised and methodical with the ability to multi-task
  • High attention to detail, compliance, and service report writing
  • Approachable team player, able to work on own initiative and with colleagues and clients alike
  • Willingness to participate in an on-call rota - one in every 4/5 weeks
  • Experience in computer PPM maintenance systems such as Maximo is desirable
  • Familiar with mobile technology, computer literate with experience in Word and Excel spreadsheets
  • Balancing productivity with a sense of fun, helping to create an atmosphere where people enjoy coming to work
