Mobile Nursery Housekeeper

Mobile Nursery Housekeeper (Evening) Role – Addiscombe

Salary: £12.71 per hour | Contract: 20 hours per week (Mon–Fri, 6pm–10pm) | Locations: Multi-site (travel required)

About the Role

Fennies seeks an exceptional Mobile Housekeeper to join their nursery team. Your role will be pivotal in maintaining clean, safe, and inspiring spaces that promote growth and well-being for both children and staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain a clean, sanitary, and inviting environment across multiple nursery locations, adhering to strict hygiene standards.
  • Perform daily, weekly, and deep cleaning tasks, including sanitising all rooms and play areas.
  • Respond to urgent cleaning needs and collaborate with teams to cover shifts during peak hours or vacancies.
  • Travel between nursery sites with flexibility and punctuality.
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols (COSHH, PPE, and company policies).
  • Contribute to a calm, organised atmosphere that supports learning and development.
  • Be proactive in identifying and addressing maintenance needs to uphold high standards.

Requirements

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in cleaning or housekeeping (preferably in early years settings, schools, or healthcare).
  • Exceptional attention to detail with strong time management skills.
  • Reliability, punctuality, and professionalism suitable for shift work.
  • Excellent collaborative working skills and ability to follow structured procedures.
  • Flexibility and adaptability for varied location-based roles.

Desirable, but Not Essential

  • Experience in schools, childcare, or high-cleanliness environments (e.g., healthcare, hotels).
  • Knowledge of cleaning product safety (COSHH).
  • A (valid) UK driving licence for ease of travel between sites.
