About the role
As part of our continued growth at TAC Healthcare, we are looking for an Occupational Health Technician to join our team, covering client sites across Swindon, Gloucester and Bristol on a full-time, permanent basis.
The purpose of the role is to deliver a comprehensive, evidence-based occupational health surveillance and screening service, supporting the health, safety and wellbeing of employees across our client base.
This is a mobile role, so you will be required to travel between client sites across the region. A full UK driving licence is therefore essential.
You will carry out a range of occupational health screening and health surveillance activities, ensuring assessments are completed accurately, professionally and in line with relevant clinical standards and procedures.
We are looking for someone who has experience working within a healthcare or clinical environment and is comfortable interacting with patients and the general public. You will be organised, flexible and highly motivated, with a calm and professional approach and a strong focus on quality and patient care.
At TAC Healthcare, we look for people who are passionate about delivering outstanding care and putting clients and patients at the heart of everything they do.
What you will do
- Undertake occupational health screening and health surveillance assessments.
- Measure and record height, weight, BMI, peak flow, pulse and blood pressure.
- Carry out vision screening, urinalysis, spirometry and audiometry.
- Undertake electrocardiography (ECG) assessments.
- Support blood sampling where required and appropriately trained.
- Carry out drug testing and alcohol breath testing.
- Undertake fitness assessments in line with relevant requirements and protocols.
- Travel between client sites across Swindon, Gloucester and Bristol.
- Accurately record assessment results and maintain appropriate clinical documentation.
- Liaise with medical, clinical and administrative colleagues on matters relating to patient care and service delivery.
- Ensure clinical areas are appropriately stocked with required consumables.
- Complete required calibration and routine checks of clinical equipment.
- Assist with administrative duties associated with patient care.
- Maintain high standards of infection prevention, confidentiality and clinical governance.
- Work in accordance with TAC Healthcare procedures and relevant occupational health standards.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
