Role: Domiciliary Dispensing Optician / Senior Optical Assistant
Location: London & Surrounding Home Counties (Field-based)
Salary: £32,000 – £38,000 base salary + bonus scheme (OTE £40,000+)
Travel: 45p per mile HMRC business mileage allowance
Working Hours: Full-time / Monday to Friday (No weekends)
Looking for an optical role where you can make a genuine difference outside the traditional high street store?
We are seeking a compassionate, customer-focused Dispensing Optician (FBDO) or Experienced Optical Assistant to join our mobile care team covering London and the surrounding areas.
In this role, you won't be trapped behind a testing room desk, you'll be out in the community, providing vital eye care services, dispensing frames, and fitting tailored spectacles for residents in local care homes.

Key Responsibilities:
- Dispense spectacles and offer expert advice to residents in care home environments.
- Deliver, fit, and adjust completed eyewear to ensure optimal vision, comfort, and safety.
- Work alongside optometrists to deliver seamless, patient-first care.
- Build warm, professional relationships with care home staff, residents, and families.
- Manage your daily field itinerary and optical equipment efficiently.
What We’re Looking For:
- Qualified Dispensing Optician (FBDO) OR experienced Optical Assistant with strong dispensing skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a gentle approach when working with elderly or vulnerable patients.
- Previous domiciliary experience.
- Full UK Driving Licence and access to your own reliable vehicle.

What We Offer:
- Competitive Package: £32,000 – £38,000 base salary (depending on experience) + achievable performance bonus (OTE £40,000+).
- Travel Expenses: Full business mileage paid at 45p per mile.
