We’re Hiring: Mobile Patrol Officer
📍 Location: Birmingham
💰 Pay: £13.45 per hour
📅 Hours: 36 hours per week

As a Mobile Patrol Officer, you will provide professional mobile security services and exceptional customer service across a portfolio of client sites within a designated geographical area. The Mobile Patrol Officer will carry out a range of duties including lock/unlock procedures, escort services, alarm responses, vacant property inspections, and regular patrols, along with other mobile security tasks as directed by the Deputy Branch Manager. As a Mobile Patrol Officer, you will help protect clients' people, property, and assets while consistently demonstrating Securitas' core values of Integrity, Vigilance, and Helpfulness, ensuring a safer world for everyone.
Job Description
Responsibilities
You’ll play a vital part in keeping people, property, and information safe. That includes:
- Conduct mobile patrols, alarm responses, property inspections, lock/unlock duties, and escort services.
- Carry out regular patrols to deter unauthorized activity and identify security risks.
- Maintain a professional, customer-focused approach at all times.
- Follow site instructions and work effectively with colleagues, clients, and stakeholders.
- Wear the correct uniform and display your SIA licence and company ID card.
- Complete vehicle inspections and handovers at the start and end of each shift.
- Drive safely and responsibly in accordance with road traffic laws and company procedures.
- Manage keys and security assets securely in line with company policy.
- Report incidents, accidents, hazards, and concerns accurately using company systems.
- Enforce access control procedures, verifying credentials and monitoring entry and exit points.
- Conduct searches of individuals and vehicles when required, following site procedures.
- Respond promptly and effectively to emergencies and security incidents.
- Protect company equipment and ensure all resources are used correctly.
- Support operational requirements by working across multiple locations when needed.

Qualifications
What we’re looking for:
We’re looking for someone who sees a different world—someone who values teamwork, shows initiative, and wants to grow. Ideally, you’ll have:
- Previous experience in a similar role is beneficial but not essential.
- Minimum of 1 year's mobile security experience preferred.
- Full UK driving licence
- Manual Driving Licence and access to vehicle
- Valid SIA Front Line Licence.
- Flexible to work days, nights, and weekends.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Calm and professional under pressure.
