📍 Location: Cardiff, UK
💰 Pay: £13.40
📅 Hours: 42 Hours 4 on 4 off nights

As a Mobile Security Officer, you will provide mobile security services and world-class client service excellence across a portfolio of client sites within a designated geographical area. As a Mobile Security Officer, you will perform various tasks such as locks/unlocks, escort services, alarm responses, vacant property inspections, patrols, and other mobile services as directed by the Deputy Branch Manager. Your role as a Mobile Security Officer is to protect clients' people, property, and assets while consistently upholding Securitas core values: Integrity, Vigilance, and Helpfulness, ensuring their world is a safer place.

Key Skills & Essential Requirements

  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and prioritise tasks
  • Excellent timekeeping with a strong record of reliability
  • Full UK manual driving licence with solid driving experience
  • Valid SIA Licence
  • Strong decision-making skills in fast-paced and dynamic environments
  • Experienced in lone working while maintaining safety and professionalism
  • Capable of managing a varied workload efficiently
  • Experience working with a diverse range of customers and environments

Core Responsibilities (Mobile Security Officer)

  • Deliver mobile security services including lock/unlock duties, internal/external patrols, alarm responses, property inspections, and escorts
  • Maintain a professional, courteous, and helpful approach with clients, staff, and colleagues
  • Follow assignment instructions and collaborate effectively with team members and Team Leaders
  • Conduct dynamic risk assessments when attending client sites
  • Complete accurate incident reports, including incidents, break-ins, health & safety issues, and road traffic accidents
  • Use GRS/SMP reporting systems with accurate data capture and supporting evidence (photos where applicable)
  • Drive safely in line with the Highway Code and company policies, ensuring vehicle and public safety
  • Manage company vehicles, including checks and handovers at the start and end of each shift
  • Handle keys in accordance with strict key management procedures
  • Ensure compliance with SIA regulations, SOPs, and company policies at all times
  • Maintain uniform standards, including displaying SIA licence and ID
  • Secure company assets (e.g., PDAs, vehicles, dashcams) and ensure proper usage
  • Remain flexible to cover different guarding districts and support other branches as required

Qualifications

What we’re looking for:

  • Previous experience in a similar role preferred but not essential.
  • Minimum of one year of mobile security experience preferred but not essential
  • Full UK Manual Driving Licence.
  • Valid SIA, Front Line Licence required to work as a Mobile Security Officer.
  • Flexibility to work – days, nights, and weekends.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good verbal and communication skills.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Client-focused with attention to detail.
  • Commitment to delivering service excellence
  • Must have the right to work in the UK.
  • Have a five-year checkable employment history or be able to produce documentary evidence of any period of unemployment, self-employment, or full and part-time education during that period.
  • The ability to embody and uphold the Securitas core values of Integrity, Vigilance, and Helpfulness.
