Mobile Plant Fitter
Bristol
£38,000 - £45,000 basic salary

Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Mobile Plant Fitter to join our team. This role involves working on a wide range of plant machinery, including excavators, dumpers, loaders, telehandlers, and more. The position is based in Bristol and covers the surrounding areas. Responsibilities
- Conduct routine maintenance, servicing, and repairs on a variety of plant machinery.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults.
- Perform inspections to ensure machinery is safe and compliant with regulations.
- Provide on-site support to clients, ensuring minimal downtime for their equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of work completed, parts used, and any additional recommendations.
- Communicate effectively with clients and team members to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Adhere to health and safety standards at all times.

Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Plant Fitter, Mobile Plant Engineer, or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of plant machinery, including excavators, dumpers, loaders, and telehandlers.
- Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
- Relevant qualifications in engineering or mechanics (NVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent).
- Full UK driving license.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
Day-to-Day
- Travel to client sites in Bristol and surrounding areas to perform maintenance and repairs.
- Inspect and test machinery to identify issues and ensure optimal performance.
- Use diagnostic tools and equipment to troubleshoot faults.
- Replace or repair faulty components and ensure machinery is operational.
- Provide expert advice to clients on the care and maintenance of their equipment.
- Collaborate with the team to manage workloads and meet deadlines.
