Mobile Plant Engineer Gloucester | £38,000 – £41,000 + Overtime

The Opportunity

NEOS Engineering are working with an established business within the plant and equipment sector, who are looking to add an experienced Mobile Plant Engineer to their team in Gloucester.

This is a hands-on role working primarily on construction and plant equipment, carrying out servicing, maintenance, fault finding and repairs both in the workshop and out in the field.

The Role

As a Mobile Plant Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Servicing, maintaining and repairing a range of plant and construction equipment
  • Diagnosing and repairing mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults
  • Carrying out planned preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs
  • Attending customer sites across the local area to carry out repairs and servicing
  • Preparing machinery for hire / return and ensuring equipment is safe and operational
  • Completing service reports and relevant maintenance documentation
  • Working closely with customers and the wider engineering team
  • Maintaining high standards of health & safety at all times

The Equipment

The role is predominantly focused on mobile plant and construction equipment, so experience working on machinery such as:

  • Excavators
  • Dumpers
  • Telehandlers
  • Loaders
  • Rollers
  • Generators
  • Other construction / plant equipment

would be highly beneficial.

About You

We're looking for someone with:

  • Previous experience as a Plant Engineer, Plant Fitter, Mobile Plant Engineer or similar
  • Strong mechanical and hydraulic fault-finding experience
  • Experience working on construction or heavy plant equipment
  • The ability to work independently and manage your own workload
  • A full UK driving licence
  • A strong focus on safety and quality

NVQ / City & Guilds qualifications in Plant Maintenance, Land-Based Engineering or a similar discipline would be advantageous, but practical plant experience is the key requirement.

The Package

  • £38,000 – £41,000 per annum
