Mobile Plant Engineer
Gloucester
£38,000 - £41,000 + Monthly Bonus + Overtime + Company Van + On-Call Payments + Excellent Benefits
About the Role
NEOS Engineering Recruitment are working with a well-established and growing engineering business who are looking to appoint an experienced Mobile Plant Engineer to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Plant Engineer, Mobile Plant Fitter, Field Service Engineer or Heavy Plant Engineer looking for a varied mobile role with excellent earning potential and long-term career opportunities.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the servicing, maintenance and repair of a range of plant and equipment, working across customer sites within their designated area.
The Role
As a Mobile Plant Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Carrying out planned servicing and preventative maintenance on plant machinery.
- Diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults.
- Attending customer sites to carry out breakdown repairs.
- Completing inspections and ensuring equipment is operating safely and efficiently.
- Working independently while representing the company professionally on customer sites.
- Completing service reports and accurately recording all work carried out.
- Ordering parts and stock through approved company supplier accounts.
- Communicating effectively with supervisors, customers and the wider engineering team.
- Participating in the on-call rota where required.

The Candidate
The successful Mobile Plant Engineer will ideally have experience within:
- Heavy Plant
- Construction Equipment
- Earthmoving Equipment
- Agricultural Machinery
- Material Handling
- Recycling Equipment
- Powered Access
- Quarrying Equipment
You will ideally have:
- Previous experience as a Plant Engineer, Mobile Plant Fitter, Field Service Engineer or Heavy Plant Mechanic.
- Intensive experience with pumps.
- The ability to diagnose and repair equipment independently.
- A full UK driving licence.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- An NVQ Level 2/3 in Plant Maintenance, Heavy Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent qualification would be advantageous.

The successful candidate will receive a competitive package including:
