We're now recruiting for a Mobile Plant Operator to join our team at our Fletcher Bank Quarry in Ramsbottom.
The Role
We are looking for a multi skilled Mobile Plant Operator to join our team. This role is primarily responsible for operating a dump truck (A40), the role will also involve the operating other mobile plant including loading shovels and hydraulic excavators from time to time.
You will be expected to work closely with the quarry team to maintain high safety standards and adhere to all health and safety protocols. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring safe, efficient production while maintaining high standards of equipment operation and health & safety compliance.
Throughout your training, you'll work alongside a small but dedicated team of Quarry Operatives to ensure products are safely loaded and unloaded onto both internal and customer vehicles using a range of mobile plant equipment. You'll also support a variety of site activities, including basic maintenance of plant and equipment, as well as moving and managing stock across the Quarry as our operations continue to grow.

Mission-Critical Skills
- Able to work on your own or as part of a team
- A good understanding of health and safety requirements
- The ability to adapt to operational changes and prioritise work effectively
- Knowledge of general mobile plant maintenance requirements is desirable
- NVQ Level 2 to operate a mobile plant.
- A valid MPQC or CPCS licence or equivalent is essential.
