Office in Berlin | Relocation Package

We are currently looking for a Mobile Platform Engineer for a rapidly scaling educational technology company in Berlin, building a globally leading AI-powered education app.

In this role, you will own and evolve the foundation of the Flutter mobile application, defining robust architecture patterns, optimizing developer workflows, and integrating advanced AI infrastructure directly into the codebase to ensure the product remains cutting-edge.

We are seeking an individual with several years of experience architecting and scaling production mobile apps, strong proficiency in Flutter and Dart, solid mobile DevOps expertise, and a genuine curiosity for engineering AI systems.

What You Will Do

  • Assume complete responsibility for the mobile application's architectural integrity, ensuring its scalability, ease of maintenance, and optimal performance.
  • Develop and enhance shared components, libraries, and essential tools to streamline mobile development processes.
  • Champion and embed leading practices to cultivate an engineering culture that values high quality and productivity.
  • Partner with the AI team to flawlessly integrate advanced agentic and AI models directly into the mobile platform.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to emerging engineers, sharing technical knowledge and encouraging ongoing professional growth.
  • Engage in cross-departmental collaboration with product, design, and backend teams to deliver unified user experiences.
  • Pinpoint and alleviate performance issues to guarantee a fluid and responsive application for users.
  • Establish and promote comprehensive testing protocols (unit, integration, UI) to uphold superior code standards.

Whom We Are Looking For

  • Proven track record of several years delivering production-grade software at scale, including direct architectural responsibility for mobile applications.
  • Extensive, multi-year proficiency in developing and sustaining mobile applications leveraging Dart and the Flutter framework.
  • Hands-on experience with mobile DevOps practices, such as CI/CD setup, app store deployment, and release cycle orchestration.
  • A genuine enthusiasm and inquisitiveness for harnessing artificial intelligence as an integral part of the engineering platform.
  • An innate drive to enhance internal development processes and proactively address efficiency impediments.
  • Outstanding analytical thinking, effective cross-functional communication abilities, and a collaborative mindset.

Remote Work Policy

In this role, you can work Onsite from the office in Berlin. We also offer an on-demand remote setup (for a limited amount of time) if flexibility is needed. Should you relocate or travel for this role, your relocation or travel expenses will, of course, be covered.
