Location: Leicester & Northampton

Salary: Up to £50,000 depending on experience

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Mobile Refrigeration Engineer to join a leading FM engineering maintenance company, working across a varied portfolio of industrial environments throughout Leicester and Northampton.

The successful engineer will be responsible for planned and reactive maintenance of commercial and industrial refrigeration systems across a range of sites. This is a hands-on mobile role suited to an experienced refrigeration engineer with strong fault-finding, diagnostic and repair abilities.

There will also be some travel across the surrounding areas when required to provide additional support and cover.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across food production sites.
  • Maintain, repair and diagnose commercial and industrial refrigeration systems.
  • Carry out fault finding, diagnostics and remedial works.
  • Respond to breakdowns and complete repairs efficiently and safely.
  • Complete routine inspections and ensure all works are carried out in line with relevant regulations and site procedures.
  • Complete accurate maintenance records and job reports.
  • Provide additional support across other sites when required.
  • Maintain strong customer service standards while working across client environments.

Requirements

  • Proven commercial or industrial refrigeration maintenance experience.
  • F-Gas Category 1 qualification – essential.
  • Strong fault-finding, diagnostic and repair skills.
  • Experience working on refrigeration systems within commercial or industrial environments.
  • CO₂ (R744) or ammonia (R717) experience would be desirable.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently while also supporting the wider engineering team.

Package

  • Salary: Up to £50,000 depending on experience
  • Monday–Friday, 40 hour week
  • Company vehicle with private use permitted
  • Fuel card
  • Mobile phone, tablet and laptop provided
  • Weekend overtime available
  • 1 in 5 call-out rota following successful completion of probation
  • Full-time, permanent position
