Your Role at Husqvarna Construction

The Mobile Service Engineer (MSE) will carry out maintenance, fault diagnosis and repairs on customer equipment, working closely with customers and the after-sales team to resolve service issues.

This role is based at our office in Grays, with travel across the UK as required.

Responsibilities & Key Tasks

  • Diagnose faults, service and repair equipment, and carry out planned preventative maintenance and field modifications.
  • Order spare parts and manage stock held in the service vehicle.
  • Complete customer service logs and internal service records accurately and promptly.
  • Keep customers and service management informed of progress and follow up requirements.
  • Maintain tools and test equipment, ensuring calibration is up to date where required.
  • Follow the company’s health and safety procedures.
  • Escalate technical faults and service delivery issues when additional support is needed.
  • Identify relevant sales opportunities during customer visits and refer them to the appropriate team.
  • Coordinate with the after-sales team to deliver customer service.
  • Lift and carry a toolbox weighing up to 25 kg.

Qualifications and Skills

  • A UK valid driving licence.
  • Experience as a service engineer working with electrical and hydraulic systems, and petrol and diesel powered equipment.
  • Experience diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faults.
  • Experience working with internal teams and customers to resolve service issues.
  • The ability to explain technical faults and repairs clearly to customers.
  • Proficiency and PC Literate
  • The ability to work independently and prioritise service jobs as requirements change.
