We are looking for a responsible maintenance tech, to carry out repairs, installation, and troubleshooting of industrial air compressors. This role typically involves working on rotary screw, reciprocating, centrifugal, and other types of compressors used in manufacturing industry. The candidate must be willing to be flexible in their approach to working hours and put the customer first, to ensure the customers site stays up and running.

About The Role

Installation & Commissioning:

  • Set up and install compressors and related systems.
  • Ensure proper alignment, electrical connections, and safety compliance.

Maintenance & Servicing:

  • Perform routine maintenance, including oil changes, filter replacements, and belt adjustments.
  • Inspect components for wear and tear to prevent breakdowns.

Diagnostics & Troubleshooting:

  • Identify faults using diagnostic tools and testing equipment.
  • Repair or replace defective parts such as valves, seals, and bearings.

Documentation & Reporting:

  • Maintain records of service visits, repairs, and parts used.
  • Provide detailed reports on system performance and recommended actions.

Compliance & Safety:

  • Follow industry standards, safety protocols, and environmental regulations.
  • Conduct risk assessments before performing maintenance tasks.

Key Skills, Experience & Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of all types of compressors
  • Mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Experience with PLCs, sensors, and control systems.
  • Hands-on experience with pipe work.
  • Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.

Compressor-Specific Training

  • Knowledge of rotary screw compressor brands like Ingersoll Rand, Atlas Copco, Boge, and ELGI offer specific training on their compressor models. This would be an advantage, however, we can offer training on the gaps a candidate may have.

Mechanical Engineering or Technical Qualification

  • Many engineers in this field have a background in mechanical engineering or a relevant technical field (e.g., diploma in mechanical or electrical engineering). This academic foundation helps in understanding the inner workings of compressors and industrial systems.

On The Job Training

  • We will offer on-the-job training to help a candidate gain the correct experience on our core machines we look after. Working under the supervision of experienced engineers helps you gain practical experience with troubleshooting, maintenance, and installations.
