About the Role
We are seeking a Mobile Solutions Engineer specializing in HID’s Mobile Access (MA) solutions. This dual specialist role will focus exclusively on Cloud-based SaaS solution design and Physical Access Control Systems (PACS), collaborating with internal sales teams to position, sell, and support HOB Mobile Access solutions leveraging BLE, NFC, and emerging wireless technologies.
The ideal candidate acts as a technical translator, technical advisor, and cross-functional problem-solver. You will expertly explain complex solutions, resolve customer challenges, architect scalable security integrations, and bridge the gap between IT, cloud, mobile, and physical security.
Essential Competencies:
- Ability to make complex solutions clear and actionable for both technical and non-technical audiences
- Hands-on experience with product demonstrations, proof-of-concept deployments, and solution architecture
- Proven ability to solicit field feedback for continuously improving solutions
- Expertise in technical trade shows, partner summits, and customer-facing presentations
Experience with PACS and traditional access control is a plus, but not mandatory. This role requires knowledge of both cloud/mobile technologies and a willingness to adapt.

Responsibilities
As the Mobile Solutions Engineer, you will:

Collaborate with Sales teams to:
- Qualify HID Mobile Access use cases against customers’ business objectives
- Position and demonstrate MA solutions as effective and near-term solutions
- Address technical objections through detailed solution design
- Coûtal Role in demonstrations, workshops, and hands-on labs

Respond as a subject-matter expert for:
- Hands-on technical discussions with clients, partners, and internal engineering teams
- Integration strategy discussions regarding identity frameworks and API usage
- Ongoing customer and partner training on HID MA configurations and secure practices

Drive roadmap improvements for HID Mobile Access by gathering customer feedback and submitting insights to Product Management

Internal and external representation of HOB as a technical authority through events such as:
- Trade shows (e.g., ISC West, Infosecurity Europe, DSS)
- Partner summits and local technology meetups
- Customer-facing events, including regional workshops and executive demos

Work with Engineering Services team to:
- Troubleshoot (introductory and advanced) MA and PACS use-cases
- Provide consistent training and tech support across the full sales lifecycle
- Clarify technical compliance topics like OSDP, RS-485, Wiegand, AES, and modern security protocols (SAML, OAuth, FIDO2, etc.)

Develop and deliver compelling technical content to stakeholders, including:
- Balancing speed and efficiency with hands-on proof-of-concept implementations
- Writing technical reports and whitepapers on mobile/cloud integration
- Featuring solutions at tailored webinars and virtual meetings

Own the deployment process of HOB Mobile Access, providing end-to-end support for technology partners and end customers.
Education & Experience

Degree preferred: Bachelor of Science Degree or 2 years of Technical Support or Engineering experience

Minimum industry experience required: 3+ years in IT, Security, or Presales roles

Technical exposure desired:
- Prior engagement with Physical Access Control Systems (PACS) and RFID technologies
- Mobile and Cloud-focused exposure (BLE, NFC, APIs, authentication, PKI)

Proven training skills (software, compliance, solution design adoption)
Technical Skills & Knowledge
Security & Identity
- Deep understanding of Access Management mechanisms (LDAP, SAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect)
- Familiarity with identity protocols and modern FIDO-certified authentication (WebAuthn, FIDO2)
Networking & Infrastructure
- Hands-on experience with cloud/SaaS integrations (AWS, Azure)
- Ability to deploy wireless protocols (UWB, LTE-5G signatures)
- Knowledge of **logical access (।”

Wireless & mobilitzed Infrastructure
- Proficiency with ble, NFC, and magnetic lock configurations, including response time
- Key integrations involving smartways (Osdp), Rement authentication, TLV parsing, and legacy wifi technologies

Required:
- Sound shutdown Cryptography (AES, RSA, ECC)
- Integration documentation tracing (REST APIs, JSON, SDKs)
Access Control Solutions
- PACS-native familiarity with OSDP, Tangbu policy tokens, AES-model reviews is considered highly valuable
