Mobile Telecoms Solutions Architect

Theale – 3 days per week in the office

6-month contract

Are you a Mobile Telecoms Solutions Architect who enjoys turning complex operator requirements into practical, commercially viable infrastructure solutions?

We’re looking for an experienced telecoms professional to join a leading UK mobile infrastructure organisation at an exciting point of transformation and growth.

This is a customer-facing, solution-focused role where you’ll work closely with mobile network operators to understand their requirements and shape the infrastructure solutions that enable the next generation of UK mobile networks.

What will you be doing?

You’ll sit at the intersection of technology, engineering, customers and commercial teams, taking requirements from initial discovery through to a credible, costed and deliverable solution.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Engaging with mobile network operators to understand coverage, capacity, densification, rollout and resilience requirements
  • Leading technical discovery for new-build, co-location, upgrade, infill and network modernisation opportunities
  • Designing solutions across macro sites, rooftops, monopoles, street works, small cells and in-building coverage
  • Assessing the feasibility of existing and new infrastructure, including structural loading, power, transmission, access, planning and site constraints
  • Interpreting radio-planning information including antenna configurations, equipment weights, azimuths, heights, sectors and technology requirements
  • Developing multi-operator and co-location solutions that maximise infrastructure utilisation and future scalability
  • Working with structural, transmission, engineering and delivery specialists to develop technically robust solutions
  • Supporting DAS, small-cell and neutral-host solutions where appropriate
  • Preparing technical responses to RFPs, RFIs, tenders and framework competitions
  • Producing solution descriptions, technical scopes, site schedules, assumptions, Bills of Materials and cost estimates
  • Working with commercial teams to develop pricing, business cases and customer proposals
  • Clearly articulating the technical, commercial and operational benefits of proposed solutions to customers
  • Identifying technical deviations, dependencies, risks and opportunities within customer requirements
  • Providing technical assurance through design, construction, commissioning and handover
  • Supporting mobilisation of new contracts and developing reusable solution patterns, standards and technical libraries

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
