Are you a skilled mechanic looking for a role that offers more independence, variety and the opportunity to take your expertise directly to customers?

  • On-target earnings up to £35,838.72
  • Comprising a base salary of £33,038.72
  • A monthly bonus scheme with average additional earnings of £2,800 Per year
  • 44 hour week, working 8am - 6pm shifts over 5 days, including 1 in 2 weekends

Join Halfords as a Mobile Vehicle Technician and become part of our growing Mobile Expert team, delivering workshop-quality servicing, maintenance and repair work at customers' homes and workplaces. Working from a fully equipped van and supported by smart technology, you'll manage your own day, build trusted customer relationships and use your technical skills to keep the nation moving.

What you’ll be doing

No two days are the same as you use your technical expertise across a wide range of servicing, maintenance and repair work, helping to keep the nation moving.

  • Interim, Full and Major vehicle services
  • Brake pad, shoe and disc replacement
  • Steering, suspension and brake repairs
  • Vehicle inspections and fault diagnostics
  • Tyre fitting, puncture repairs and wheel balancing
  • Air conditioning servicing and re-gassing

What we’re looking for

  • NVQ level 2 or level 3 in vehicle maintenance & repair (or time-served experience)
  • Proven experience in a vehicle servicing & maintenance role
  • A full UK driving licence with no more than 6 points
  • Great communication skills and confidence dealing with customers
