DriverHire Bridgwater & Taunton are recruiting for a Mobile Works Operative to work as part of a two-person crew supporting drainage and surveying projects across roads, highways, and new developments.

This is a non-driving role. You will travel with the driver/operator and work alongside them to complete the required work on site.

The Role

Your Duties Will Include

  • Assisting with CCTV drainage surveys
  • Supporting high-pressure jetting and drain cleaning
  • Working on road, highways, and infrastructure projects
  • Setting up and handling specialist drainage equipment
  • Assisting with hoses, cameras, and jetting equipment
  • Carrying out general site and drainage duties
  • Working safely around road projects and traffic management
  • Following all site health and safety procedures

What We’re Looking For

  • Reliable and punctual
  • Comfortable carrying out physical work
  • Happy working outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Confident working as part of a two-person crew
  • Good awareness of health and safety
  • Willing to learn specialist CCTV and jetting equipment
  • Previous drainage, highways, utilities, or construction experience would be beneficial
  • Street Works / NRSWA tickets would be a strong advantage but are not essential

Pay & Benefits
