Role Description
The Mobility Trainer role is a contract, on-site position based in Exeter, supporting students with mobility and orientation needs in educational settings and the surrounding community. Day-to-day responsibilities include:

- Assessing individual mobility requirements

The Mobility Trainer will liaise with needs assessors, disability advisers, and institutional staff to coordinate support, monitor progress, and adjust training plans as required. The role also involves:
- Maintaining accurate records
- Providing clear reports
- Promoting independence and inclusion in line with Pathways International Limited’s standards and policies
Qualifications
- Experience in mobility training, orientation and mobility support, or related disability support services.
- Knowledge of accessibility best practices, inclusive education, and safe travel techniques for disabled students.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with students, assessors, advisers, and academic staff.
- Ability to plan structured training sessions, manage caseloads, and maintain clear, accurate documentation.
- Relevant professional certification or training in mobility, rehabilitation, or disability support (or equivalent experience).
- Understanding of DSA and Non-Medical Help frameworks, or willingness to learn and adhere to related guidelines.
- Demonstrated commitment to safeguarding, equality, diversity, and non-discriminatory practice.
- Flexibility to work on-site in Exeter, with reliable time management and professional conduct.
