Company Description

CHESHIRE LANGUAGE ACADEMY LIMITED specializes in ESOL, supporting learners who use English as an additional language and provides Modern language tuition for adults. The academy focuses on helping learners improve their skills for everyday communication, academic study, and professional development. Teaching is tailored to different proficiency levels to promote confidence and clear language progression. The environment is learner-centered, with an emphasis on practical language use and supportive, high-quality instruction.

Role Description

The Modern Language Tutor will deliver structured French / German / Spanish / Italian or other language lessons to small groups of adult learners on-site in Warrington. Responsibilities include planning engaging lessons, preparing teaching materials, assessing learner progress, and providing constructive feedback. The tutor will support learners in developing reading, listening, and speaking skills, while fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment. The role also involves maintaining accurate records, adapting teaching approaches to meet diverse learner needs. This is an on-site role based in Warrington.

Qualifications

  • Strong tutoring skills, with experience in Tutoring / Teaching and supporting diverse learners
  • Excellent Communication abilities to engage learners and explain concepts clearly
  • Demonstrated Teaching skills, including lesson planning and classroom management
  • Relevant teaching qualification or certification in modern languages
  • Experience working in educational or language academy settings is beneficial
  • Ability to create inclusive, non-discriminatory learning environments for learners of all backgrounds
  • Organizational skills, reliability, and a professional approach to learner support

Additional Details

  • Classes are 2 hours for 10 weeks. Evening classes are preferred.
  • Rate of pay is £20 per hour.
  • Tutors will be self-employed and submit monthly invoices for work completed.
  • Tutors must have the right to work in the UK.
