The Company
Our client is a rapidly growing, technology-led organisation investing heavily in the tools, platforms and services that enable its people to work effectively.
As the business continues to scale, they're evolving their modern workplace environment and looking for an experienced engineer to help improve how Microsoft 365 technologies are designed, delivered and managed across the organisation.

The Role
As a Modern Workplace Engineer, you'll be a senior technical member of the team responsible for improving and evolving the Microsoft 365 environment.
This isn't a traditional infrastructure role. You'll use your technical background to design better solutions, automate repetitive processes and improve how workplace technology is delivered across the business.

You'll work directly with users and internal technology teams to understand requirements, solve complex problems and take ownership of projects from initial design through to implementation and ongoing improvement.
What You'll Be Working On
- Improving and evolving the organisation's Microsoft 365 environment
- Modern workplace solutions across identity, endpoint management, collaboration and productivity
- Automation and process improvements that reduce manual administration
- Strengthening governance, documentation and operational standards
- Delivering technical projects and improvements within an agile environment
- Acting as a senior escalation point for complex Microsoft 365 challenges
- Working with stakeholders to turn business requirements into practical technical solutions
Your Experience
We're looking for an experienced Modern Workplace or Microsoft 365 Engineer who has progressed beyond traditional support and enjoys improving, designing and delivering solutions.
Essential Experience
- Strong commercial experience across the Microsoft 365 ecosystem
- Hands-on expertise with Entra ID and Intune
- Experience with Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint and OneDrive
- Strong understanding of identity, access and modern endpoint management
- Experience delivering Microsoft 365 projects and technical improvements
- Comfortable working directly with users and senior stakeholders
- Strong troubleshooting skills across complex M365 environments

Nice to Have
- Experience automating Microsoft 365 administration and processes
- Exposure to governance, security and compliance within M365
- Background progressing from senior support into modern workplace or solutions engineering
- Experience creating technical documentation and Standard Operating Procedures
