Molecular Biologist

Biotechnology / Biopharmaceuticals

ERS is supporting a Biotechnology client who are actively recruiting for a Molecular Biologist to provide ongoing project support to Biotechnology / Biopharmaceutical projects.

This role will encompass the knowledge and use of a range of biological disciplines and techniques including microbiology, cell cloning techniques, recombinant protein analyses (SDS-PAGE, ELISA, Western Blot) and cell culturing / microbial host culturing.

Duties will include:

  • Ensuring all analyses and experiments are compliant with quality / health and safety standards and systems.
  • Working with other Molecular Biologists to ensure project timelines are understood and maintained.
  • Understanding scope of projects, including areas enzyme biochemistry, fermentation and biotechnology.

Applications are invited from candidates with a BSc / MSc in Molecular Biology / Biotechnology / Biochemistry (or related subject) together with previous suitable hands on skills in a Biotechnology environment.

This is a permanent position offering an attractive salary depending on skills and experience.
