About The Role
The Molecular Biology Operations Support role is responsible for supporting the safe, efficient and compliant operation of the Museum's Molecular Biology Laboratories. The post holder will provide operational support to the Molecular Laboratory Team by maintaining the laboratory facilities, equipment and resources. The role contributes to the delivery of Molecular Biology Laboratory research services whilst ensuring high standards of health, safety and organisation. This position serves as a key point of contact for day-to-day laboratory operations and user support.

About You
We are looking for a highly organised, proactive and detail-focused individual with experience of working in a molecular biology, biological sciences or laboratory environment. You will bring a good understanding of laboratory health and safety, accurate record-keeping and data management skills, and the ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining a high standard of work. You will be confident communicating with colleagues, researchers and stakeholders, comfortable using Microsoft Office 365 and relevant laboratory or administrative systems, and able to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
Experience of supporting users within a shared laboratory, core facility or service environment, and of coordinating equipment servicing, calibration, stock management or compliance-related activities would be an advantage. Above all, you will be dependable, flexible and solution-focused, with a commitment to safe working, continuous improvement and delivering a reliable, user-focused laboratory service.
