Are you a skilled Molecular Imaging Technologist looking to take the next step in your career within a leading private healthcare environment?

At The London Clinic, we are seeking a passionate and motivated Band 6 Molecular Imaging Technologist to join our innovative Molecular Imaging & Theranostics Service. This is an exciting opportunity to work with advanced PET/CT and SPECT/CT technologies while contributing to the delivery of exceptional patient care within a highly specialised diagnostic and therapeutic imaging service.

About the Role

As a Molecular Imaging Technologist, you will support the delivery of high-quality molecular imaging services, undertaking complex PET/CT and SPECT/CT procedures, managing patient pathways, and preparing and administering radiopharmaceuticals. You will play a key role in ensuring patients receive safe, efficient, and compassionate care throughout their diagnostic and treatment journey.

Working closely with a multidisciplinary team, you will contribute to service development, quality assurance activities, research initiatives, and the continued advancement of our Molecular Imaging and Theranostics programme.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Performing routine PET/CT and SPECT/CT imaging procedures to the highest technical and patient care standards.
  • Preparing and administering radioactive pharmaceuticals under aseptic conditions.
  • Undertaking venepuncture and cannulation procedures safely and effectively.
  • Supporting molecular radiotherapy patients through post-treatment imaging and radiation safety processes.
  • Providing advice and guidance to patients, carers, and clinical colleagues regarding molecular imaging procedures.
  • Ensuring imaging quality through robust quality assurance and equipment checks.
  • Supporting audits, research projects, and service improvement initiatives.
  • Contributing to the education and development of colleagues within the department.

What We're Looking For

Essential Criteria

  • BSc in Nuclear Medicine or UK-recognised equivalent qualification.
  • Minimum two years' post-qualification experience within Molecular Imaging.
  • Hands-on experience in Nuclear Medicine and/or PET/CT imaging.
  • Strong knowledge of PET/CT and SPECT/CT imaging techniques and diagnostic protocols.
  • Understanding of relevant legislation and guidance, including IR(ME)R 2017, IRR17, ARSAC, and IPEM guidance.
  • Experience working with Radiology Information Systems, MIM and PACS.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-focused approach.
  • Evidence of continuing professional development (CPD).

Desirable Criteria

  • Experience within a private healthcare setting.
  • Knowledge of Meditech systems.
  • Understanding of oncology services and emerging developments in Nuclear Medicine.
  • Postgraduate study or further professional qualifications relevant to the role.
