Money Laundering Liaison Officer
About the Role
We have a fantastic opportunity for a driven and motivated Money Laundering Liaison Officer to join our 1st Line Financial Crime team. This is a collaborative, fast-paced environment, where you’ll play a vital role in safeguarding customers by assessing business banking referrals linked to higher-risk customers, including those impacted by Politically Exposed Persons (PEPs) and sanctions.
We’re looking for someone who is eager to learn, confident in their judgement, and able to build strong relationships while working closely with colleagues across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse and interpret complex information to assess risk.
- Review new and existing higher-risk business customers and make well-informed decisions supporting the bank’s financial crime strategy.
- Risk assess customers, determine risk ratings, and provide clear guidance to colleagues across the organisation.
- Maintain strong organisational skills, work independently, and stay results-focused, alongside exceptional communication skills to engage with senior stakeholders.
- Demonstrate attention to detail, efficiency, and the ability to quickly grasp new information due to a broad range of banking products requiring consideration.

Requirements
- A solid background in Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and economic crime.
- Knowledge of onboarding business customers, financial crime policies, and banking operations.
- Understanding of risk across different customer types and industry sectors.
- Experience in assessing business banking referrals and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Flexibility & Working Arrangements
We are happy to consider flexible working approaches to help you perform at your best.
- Working hours (per week): Between 28 and 35 hours.
- Fixed-term contract: 12-month opportunity.
