Monitoring Support Officer (London South)

Our client is seeking a dedicated Monitoring Support Officer (MSO) to join their dynamic team in the public services sector. This exciting opportunity is ideal for individuals who thrive on delivering a safe and compliant service while working collaboratively with field-based colleagues.

Role Purpose

The Monitoring Support Officer plays a crucial role in supporting Serco's Electronic Monitoring Services. Working across a range of shifts, including weekdays and weekends, the MSO will ensure that risk, safeguarding, and service issues are promptly identified and escalated. If you possess sound judgement, confident communication skills, and a keen eye for detail, this role could be the perfect fit!

Key Accountabilities

  • Collaborate with Field Monitoring Officers (FMOs) during the installation and decommissioning of monitoring equipment.
  • Serve as an extra pair of eyes for FMOs, assisting them in their essential tasks.
  • Engage in light duties such as carrying equipment and taking notes.
  • Maintain calmness and constructive responses during high-demand situations or incidents.

Risk, Safeguarding, And Compliance

  • Recognise indicators of vulnerability and safeguarding concerns, following the appropriate escalation pathways.
  • Consistently apply policies, standard operating procedures, and data protection regulations.
  • Ensure sensitive information is protected and shared only with authorised recipients.

Person Specification

  • Service: Proven experience in delivering exceptional customer service, particularly in sensitive situations (Essential).
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills (Essential).
  • Teamwork: A collaborative, dependable approach to support colleagues in shift-based operations (Essential).
  • Sector Knowledge: Understanding of electronic monitoring, criminal justice, and public protection (Desirable).
  • Qualifications: A good standard of general education, including English, or equivalent practical experience (Essential).
