Company Description
The organization is seeking skilled professionals to support a growing workload of monitoring operations based at its Oxford location, but working on projects around the UK and further afield. The team focuses on technical site work, providing reliable fibre optic detection and monitoring systems, ensuring a reliable and consistent performance for our customers. Team members collaborate across technical and operational functions with accountability, good communication, and continuous improvement. Joining this team offers the opportunity to have a varied role with some travel.
Role Description
The Monitoring Technician / Engineer / Manager is a full-time role based in Oxford, but with travel to our project sites. Responsibilities include:

- Installing monitoring systems and applications
- Reviewing data and dashboards
- Interpretation and reporting
- Responding promptly to unplanned events on site

Qualifications
- Civil engineering and/or geotechnical qualifications.
- Demonstrated experience working with monitoring tools, dashboards, and alerting systems to oversee infrastructure, applications, or services.
- Ability to identify, investigate, and troubleshoot incidents, with a structured approach to root-cause analysis and problem resolution.
- Strong documentation and reporting skills, including accurate incident logging, clear status updates, and concise communication with stakeholders.
- Comfort collaborating with cross-functional teams, following standardized procedures, and contributing to continuous improvement of monitoring practices.
- Relevant technical background (e.g., IT operations, systems administration, network operations, or engineering) and familiarity with standard IT environments.
- Work experience on a construction site.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting.
- Willingness to be based in Oxford and, as will be required, participate in site work.
