Counter Lead Responsibilities
The Counter Lead is responsible for supporting their Brand in driving sales turnover and market share through a consistently consumer-focused approach. They are accountable for achieving this by:
- Reflecting a credible and professional Brand image to all internal and external consumers at all times
- Maximising sales through selling, providing excellent service, and adhering to retail standards
- Contributing to efficiencies by strictly following store/Brand/Company Procedures and guidelines
- Ensuring awareness of daily/weekly targets and delivering against them
- Staying updated on additional sales avenues, including eventing, Omni and digital channels
- Monitoring competitor activities and identifying missed opportunities
- Leveraging social media effectively to drive business, protect, and enhance Brand reputation
- Delivering the Brand Strategy while ensuring alignment with an effective local plan
- Planning and implementing local marketing and events initiatives, aligned with Retailer activities
- Ensuring excellence in service execution by:
- Implementing measures to continually improve service levels
- Enforcing a zero consumer complaints approach
- Cultivating a surprise and delight culture
- Acting as a Brand Ambassador, embodying and demonstrating Brand values
- Managing all refunds and complaints in line with Company guidelines, consulting with the Area Manager when necessary
- Using digital tools to stay updated on knowledge and trends
- Executing a consumer recruitment and retention strategy to grow a loyal customer base
- Developing up-to-date product knowledge to ensure an industry-leading experience that meets consumer needs

Operations
- Planning to ensure excellent standards are delivered consistently (across product, housekeeping, displays, messaging, and pricing)
- Conducting daily retail standards reviews and maintaining them to the required standard
- Ensuring deliveries, stock movements, and associated administration are completed within agreed timeframes
- Actioning all auditable processes and administration according to Company guidelines, addressing high-risk areas
- Fulfilling information requests accurately and within set deadlines
- Minimising stock loss by implementing and following Company Security Policies and Procedures
- Creating and maintaining a safe working environment for consumers, adhering to Company and Retailer Policies and Procedures
- Ensuring all health & safety responsibilities achieve a minimum grading of "Acceptable" during audits

Commerciality
- Managing daily replenishment and taking appropriate corrective actions
- Maximising sales performance by leveraging commercial reports before making decisions
- Planning and delivering visual merchandising layouts according to guidelines and timescales
- Identifying stock package issues and taking action, escalating to Area Manager where necessary
- Effectively managing all promotions and discounts in line with Company guidelines
- Identifying trends and suggesting ways to enhance product performance
Requirements and Qualifications
- Experience in a fast-paced retail and/or consumer-facing environment
- Ability to drive self-development
- Strong commercial understanding of the industry
- Effective communication, organisation, and prioritisation skills
