Since opening our doors in December, Home Instead Thornbury, Yate & Dursley has grown incredibly quickly, and we're looking for more compassionate, reliable and enthusiastic people to join our fantastic team, especially in the morning. Our office is part of the Virtus Care Group who have offices in Wiltshire, Oxfordshire & Somerset.
Job Description
If you're looking for a rewarding role that fits around family life or other commitments, becoming a Morning Care Assistant could be the perfect opportunity. Working from 7:00am until lunchtime, you'll spend your mornings making a genuine difference to the lives of older people, helping them start their day with confidence, dignity and a smile.
No experience? No problem. If you have a caring nature and a positive attitude, we'll provide all the training and support you need to build a rewarding career with one of the UK's leading home care providers.
What will you be doing?
As one of our Morning Care Assistants, you'll support older adults to continue living independently in the comfort of their own homes. Every visit is different, but your role may include:
- Providing personal care with kindness, dignity and respect
- Preparing breakfast and encouraging good nutrition and hydration
- Supporting with medication reminders
- Helping clients get ready for the day ahead
- Light household tasks to keep homes safe and comfortable
- Providing companionship, conversation and reassurance
- Building meaningful relationships with clients and their families

What we're looking for
Above all, we're looking for people with compassion, warmth and a genuine desire to help others.

- Be aged 18 or over
- Have the right to work in the UK
- Hold a full UK driving licence
- Have reliable access to your own vehicle
- Be able to work alternate weekends
