Morning Care Assistant - Guaranteed Hours

Description
Join our multi-award-winning team and become part of our family-run business which very much has our carers at the heart. We are recruiting for caring and compassionate Homecare Assistants and have branches in Ilkeston/Long Eaton and Ripley.
No experience needed, all we require is a UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
You will be supporting people in and around Ripley on our early shift pattern which is a minimum guaranteed 20 hour contract.
- Finish most weekdays by around 3pm.
- Afternoons free for family or other commitments.
- Predictable early routine.

Key Responsibilities
Key responsibilities of a Homecare Assistant
- Providing care and support to individuals living in their own home to a high standard
- Assisting clients with bathing, grooming, and getting dressed
- Handling household tasks like grocery shopping and laundry
- Preparing and serving meals at the appropriate times
- Administering and organising medication
- Collaborating with other health care and social care professionals to provide the best possible care
- Completing visit notes that are detailed, accurate and true.

Requirements and Expectations
- Due to the nature of the role involving personal care and to meet the needs and preferences of our female clients, this post is open to female applicants only. This is a genuine occupational requirement in accordance with the Equality Act 2010.
- Right to work: You must have the legal right to work in the UK. We are not able to offer visa sponsorship for this role at present.
- No care experience necessary as full training is provided
- UK driving licence and access to your own car or a UK Driving Licence and access to a Motorbike or Moped
- As well as weekdays our team are required to work every other weekend to support customers across our morning, lunchtime, tea and bedtime visits, with breaks between rounds.
- Available for our full time induction week.

What we currently offer
- Early set shift pattern - Minimum guaranteed contract: 20 hours - Typical weekday hours: 7am-3pm. No zero hour contracts.
- Every other weekend forms part of this role - Weekend shifts are shared across our Morning, Lunch, Tea and Bed rounds (7am - 10pm) with breaks between calls.
- Competitive rates of pay: £13.40 per hour - including weekdays and weekends - plus £2.10 per house that you visit.
- Pension - Employer contributions.
- Blue Light Card - Eligible to apply for the Blue Light Card and get access to discounts and rewards.
- Continuous Training - which includes one week’s induction training in our award winning training centre (we pay you £425 for this) completing your Care Certificate, Advanced Dementia and End of Life training in your first year, and 4 days of paid CPD to use every year.
- Supportive management - with out of hours on call support.
- Breakfast and snacks - in the office for those busy days.
