Company Description

At Morning Care Assistants, we’re part of the Home Instead team. We support older adults with their morning routines so they can live comfortably and independently at home.


About the Role

Are you an early bird with a caring heart? If so, we’re looking for kind, reliable people to join our team and make a real difference in others’ lives.

Key responsibility:

  • Help clients get ready for the day (washing, dressing, breakfast, medication)
  • Assure companionship and reassurance
  • Enable safe, happy mornings and nurture meaningful connections.

Pay & Perks

  • Weekday pay: £13.00/hour (£13.50 for specialised support)
  • Weekend pay: £13.50/hour (£14.00 for specialised support)
  • Paid travel time + £0.45 per mile
  • 28 days paid holiday (pro rata)
  • Fully paid training and Care Certificate qualification

Responsibilities

PROVIDING CARE & SUPPORT:

  • Assisting clients with daily personal tasks (washing, dressing, medication)
  • Offering companionate care to ease loneliness
  • Ensuring safety and comfortable morning routines

WORKING INDEPENDENTLY:

  • Confidently managing shifts in rural areas
  • Selecting part-time shifts (typically 7:00–11:30am)

RESPECTING COMMITMENT:

  • Availabilities for some weekdays and weekends (must cover all other weekends)

Requirements

Essential Criteria:

✔ Kind, compassionate nature – kindness matters most, as no prior experience is needed ✔ Reliability & independence – managing shifts without supervision ✔ Own transport – all locations are rural; client visits require a vehicle ✔ Flexibility to attend some morning shifts – covering weekdays or weekends

Medical & Legal:

📝 Must pass a DBS check (Disclosure & Barring Service) ✏️ UK right to work requirement 📍 Live within 20 miles of SN9

Schedule Boundaries:

🕕 Essential availability: Every other weekend 🚗 Rural focus: Support provided in Scarborough & surrounding villages
