About the Role

We are looking for a highly motivated, customer-focused Retail Store Manager with a growth mentality and a detailed approach to their day-to-day work to join our team and take the lead in our Morrisons Daily store, in the centre of our busy Frenchay campus.

Responsibilities

A background of working in the grocery retail sector in a similar role is essential, as well as experience working in a large department within a complex organisation. From being proactive in improving the financial performance of the store, through leading a team putting the customer first, keeping accurate stock levels, all the way to ensuring the store standards are maintained at all times, the performance expected of the Retail team will show through your commitment, expertise and passion to achieve the very best in everything that you do.

Our store supports not only the 3,000 resident students but also the students living off-campus and staff, as well as visitors to the campus. This busy store is at the heart of the student experience, and we are looking for someone who can be adaptable to the day and the week’s requirements.

Day to day, you’ll manage and oversee the complete operations of the retail store, managing the Team Leaders and Retail Assistants, as well as any Casual and Agency staff that may be involved in the running of the store, training up new members of the team, setting and working to financial targets and managing the required Due diligence processes; this role is essential in delivering an exceptional experience to all our customers.

You’ll be part of the Hospitality department, where we cater for around 100,000 people each week, serving an array of different types of food and drinks in our 13 catering outlets across 3 campuses all located in Bristol.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
