Mortgage Administrator – Opportunity to Progress into Mortgage Advice

Location: Derby - Office Based

Contract: Permanent, Employed

Salary: Competitive - to be discussed at interview

Start Date: October

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Mortgage Administrator to join our team at Mortgage Advice Bureau in Derby.

We are looking for someone to join us on a permanent basis, with a fantastic opportunity to develop their career beyond mortgage administration and progress into mortgage advice.

The Role

Initially, you will join us as a Mortgage Administrator, supporting the team with the smooth and efficient processing of mortgage business and helping to deliver an excellent experience for our customers.

Your Responsibilities Will Include

  • Providing administrative support throughout the mortgage application process
  • Progressing mortgage cases from application through to completion
  • Liaising with customers, lenders, solicitors and other relevant parties
  • Keeping customers and advisers updated on the progress of applications
  • Ensuring systems and records are kept accurate and up to date
  • Supporting the wider mortgage team with day-to-day administration
  • Helping to ensure customers receive a consistently high standard of service

For this reason, we would ideally like to hear from candidates who already hold their CeMAP qualification, or who have a strong interest in progressing into mortgage advice.

About You

We Are Looking For Someone Who

  • Has previous experience working within mortgage administration
  • Has a good understanding of the mortgage application and completion process
  • Is organised, proactive and comfortable managing a busy workload
  • Has excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Works well as part of a team
  • Is keen to learn, develop and take on greater responsibility
  • Ideally holds CeMAP and has ambitions to progress into mortgage advice
