Mortgage Administrator
Hybrid Working | Full-Time
£28,000 - £35,000 + Benefits
The Opportunity
A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join a growing and successful financial services business as a Mortgage Administrator.
This is an excellent role for a highly organised and detail-oriented individual looking to build their career within the mortgage and protection sector. Working closely with advisers and clients, you'll play a vital role in ensuring applications are progressed efficiently from initial enquiry through to completion, while delivering an exceptional client experience.
You'll be responsible for providing comprehensive administrative support across both mortgage and protection cases, ensuring all files are processed accurately, compliantly, and within agreed timescales.
The Role
Working alongside Mortgage & Protection Advisers, you'll support all aspects of the client journey, helping to ensure a smooth and professional experience from application through to completion and ongoing servicing.
Key Responsibilities
- Process mortgage applications from submission through to completion
- Collect, review and verify client documentation including ID, income evidence and bank statements
- Liaise with clients, lenders, solicitors, valuers and insurers to obtain outstanding information
- Monitor case progress and proactively chase outstanding requirements
- Maintain accurate client records and update internal CRM systems
- Ensure all files meet regulatory, lender and compliance requirements
- Support advisers with pipeline management and case administration
- Administer protection applications including Life Insurance, Critical Illness and Income Protection policies
- Manage underwriting requirements, medical evidence and insurer correspondence
- Prepare and issue client documentation, policy schedules and confirmation letters
- Handle client queries professionally and deliver excellent customer service throughout

About You
We're looking for a proactive and customer-focused individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in delivering a high standard of service.
Experience & Skills Required

- Previous experience within Mortgage Administration, Financial Services or Banking
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines effectively
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- A professional and personable approach to client service
- Confident using CRM systems, lender portals and Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of mortgage and protection products and processes is desirable
- Understanding of FCA and compliance requirements would be advantageous
- CeMAP qualification (or working towards) is beneficial but not essential
