Role Description
The Mortgage Adviser is a full-time, on-site role based in West Sussex. This role involves providing clear, compliant mortgage advice to a diverse range of customers, assessing their financial circumstances, and recommending suitable mortgage products. The adviser will manage end-to-end applications, including gathering documentation, submitting cases to lenders, tracking progress, and keeping customers informed throughout the process. Daily responsibilities include maintaining up-to-date knowledge of mortgage products and criteria, working closely with internal teams and lender contacts, and ensuring all advice meets regulatory and company standards. The role also includes contributing to lead follow-up, supporting marketing initiatives, and helping deliver an excellent customer experience that reinforces Mortgage Matters’ reputation.

Qualifications
- Knowledge of Mortgage Marketing principles and the ability to support customer acquisition and retention activities.
- CeMAP 1 qualified (or equivalent recognised mortgage advice qualification), with a commitment to ongoing professional development.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex information clearly and build customer trust.
- High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfort using CRM systems and digital tools to document advice, track applications, and maintain accurate records.
- Previous experience in mortgage advising, banking, or financial services is highly beneficial.
