Mortgage Advisor
Location: Thorpe St Andrew, Norwich
Salary: Circa £35,000 Basic
OTE: £70,000-£100,000
Hours: Monday-Friday, 9:00am-5:00pm
About the Company
Our client is a highly successful and growing independent property group with an established presence across Norfolk and Suffolk.
Alongside its residential estate agency operation, the business has an established mortgage division which benefits from a significant and consistent flow of customers generated through the wider branch network.
With mortgage demand currently exceeding adviser capacity, they are looking for an additional Mortgage Advisor to join their team at their Norwich headquarters. This is an excellent opportunity for either an experienced broker looking for strong lead flow and earning potential, or a newly qualified adviser looking to develop within a supportive, high-volume mortgage environment.
The Role
You'll provide mortgage advice to customers predominantly introduced through the wider estate agency network.
The business generates a significant volume of mortgage opportunities internally, meaning the focus of the role is on advising customers, writing business and managing your pipeline rather than having to generate an entire client bank yourself.
Advisers typically handle around five customer appointments per day, providing excellent scope to build a strong pipeline and maximise earnings.
You'll manage customers throughout the mortgage journey, understanding their circumstances, assessing suitable options and progressing applications through to completion while maintaining high standards of compliance and customer service.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
