Self-Employed Mortgage Adviser
📍 Oxfordshire / Hybrid or Remote
đź’° 50% split on supplied leads | 75% on self-generated business
An established and growing mortgage brokerage is looking for a CeMAP-qualified Mortgage Adviser to join the business on a self-employed basis.
This is a strong opportunity for an adviser who wants the earning potential and flexibility of self-employment without having to build their entire pipeline from scratch.
The business has an extensive existing client bank, including 90 clients already due for remortgage advice in 2027, alongside additional leads generated by the company.
Role
You’ll advise clients across residential and buy-to-let mortgages, managing relationships from the initial conversation through to completion.
You’ll have access to an established client bank and company-generated leads, while also being encouraged to develop your own relationships and generate additional business.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
