Role Description
The Mortgage Advisor is a full-time, hybrid role based in Bridgend, with flexibility for some work from home. The role involves advising clients on residential and buy-to-let mortgages, assessing their financial circumstances, and recommending suitable mortgage products in line with regulatory requirements. - Conducting detailed client consultations
- Gathering and analyzing financial information
- Preparing mortgage applications
- Liaising with lenders, underwriters, and other stakeholders to ensure timely approvals
- Providing guidance on related protection products
- Maintaining accurate records
- Ensuring compliance with internal policies and Financial Conduct Authority regulations

The Mortgage Advisor will also contribute to local marketing activities, build strong client relationships, and deliver clear, unbiased information to help clients make informed decisions.
Qualifications
- Strong expertise in Mortgages and Financial Planning, with the ability to assess client needs and recommend suitable products.
- Solid understanding of Finance, including affordability assessments, risk considerations, and regulatory requirements.
- Experience or knowledge in Mortgage Marketing, with the ability to support business development and client acquisition activities.
- CeMap Qualified (or an equivalent recognized mortgage advice qualification), with a commitment to ongoing professional development.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex information clearly and build trust with diverse clients.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in using mortgage sourcing systems and standard office software.
- Previous experience as a Mortgage Advisor or in a similar financial advisory role is highly beneficial; familiarity with UK mortgage and protection markets is an advantage.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, managing time between the Bridgend office and home, while maintaining high service standards.
