Role Description

This is a full-time remote role for a Mortgage Advisor at MAB - Acorn FS. The Mortgage Advisor will provide tailored mortgage and protection advice, assessing clients’ financial situations and recommending suitable products from a broad range of lenders and insurers.

  • Conducting virtual consultations
  • Gathering and verifying documentation
  • Preparing applications
  • Managing cases through to completion

The role also involves:

  • Maintaining accurate records
  • Staying up to date with lending criteria and regulatory requirements
  • Delivering clear explanations of complex information so clients can make informed decisions

The Mortgage Advisor will collaborate with internal teams, contribute to lead generation activities, and ensure a high standard of customer experience at every interaction.

Qualifications

  • Strong mortgage and finance knowledge, including Mortgages and Finance, with the ability to interpret lending criteria and assess affordability.
  • Experience in Mortgage Marketing and client outreach to support lead generation and promote advisory services.
  • Background in Financial Planning to help clients structure their borrowing and protection in line with long-term goals.
  • CeMAP qualified (or equivalent recognized mortgage advice qualification) and committed to ongoing professional development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex information in a clear, accessible manner.
  • Proven ability to work remotely, manage time effectively, and handle multiple client cases with attention to detail and compliance.
  • Familiarity with mortgage sourcing systems and CRM tools; competent in using digital platforms for virtual meetings.
  • Previous experience in mortgage advice, banking, or financial services is highly beneficial.
