Client Overview
Our client is an independent, directly authorised mortgage and protection firm specialising in providing tailored, whole-of-market advice to clients across a wide range of circumstances. The business supports clients with a variety of mortgage solutions, including first-time buyer and home mover mortgages, remortgages, buy-to-let, commercial mortgages, and protection solutions.
Following continued growth, the business is now looking to appoint an experienced Mortgage and Protection Adviser to join their advisory team. This is an excellent opportunity for an adviser who enjoys building long-term client relationships and wants to benefit from a strong pipeline of opportunities, established introducer relationships, and a supportive working environment without relying solely on self-generated business.

- Commission structure: 15% commission on mortgage, protection and insurance income generated, with advisers retaining 100% of additional advice fees

- Advisers benefit from a consistent pipeline of warm opportunities from a variety of established sources, including a large existing client bank, estate agency partnerships, established introducer relationships, and client recommendations
- Advisers can expect approximately 5–10 leads per week, allowing you to focus on providing quality mortgage and protection advice rather than solely generating new business

Working Arrangements
The business operates a flexible hybrid working model:
- Two days per week based from a co-working office space in Chelmsford, Brentwood or Billericay Area
- Three days per week working remotely from home
- Standard working hours are Monday to Friday, 9:00am–6:00pm, with flexibility to support client appointments
- Occasional Saturday client appointments may be available on an optional basis, with time adjusted during the working week

About You
The successful candidate will have:
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Mortgage Adviser within a regulated environment
- Full CeMAP qualification
- Current CAS status
- Experience providing mortgage and protection advice
- A strong focus on delivering excellent customer outcomes
- The ability to manage client relationships throughout the mortgage journey
- A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
Responsibilities
- Provide tailored mortgage and protection advice to clients
- Manage cases from initial enquiry through to completion
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and lenders
- Deliver excellent customer service throughout the advice process
- Ensure all advice is compliant with FCA regulations
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry regulations and market changes
